The Moon, big and bright, and full, was such a temptation.

These images were taken through the Meade LX200R 8" telescope. The first image
above was a quick 4 sub-images at F3.3. I tried to
include Mars, which was parked right next door, but the moon was so bright, with
the faster exposure, Mars was not there.
Then I wanted detail, and expandability. The second image was
at F/6.3, and consists of 30 separate sub-images. This image can expand out to a
very large plot with little or no pixilation.
Each image (of the 34 images above) is a stack of 20 images,
with exposure at .0003 seconds each, stacked by AutoStar Envisage. The camera is
a Meade DSI II Color.
The mosaic stitching was done using Panorama Maker 4 Pro, by
ArcSoft, and image contrast control, and sizing was done with GIMP2, v2.4.2,
which is a GNU Image Manipulation Program.
Wow, did I learn a lot on this one!
